FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1) How do I get my order started?
The first step is to contact us via phone (1-888-473-7375) , e-mail (info@eastendco.com) , or fax (631-473-2835) . Essentially, we'll need to know the number of pieces you're looking for and we'll need to see your logo or design. (Remember, we can do the artwork for you.)
2) How do I send you my artwork for printing or embroidery on your attire?
E-mail us or fax us your artwork.
3) What if I don't have artwork, can you design it for me?
Absolutely! We have an in-house artist that can handle any of your needs, equipped with a stock of well over 800,000 images and designs. We can also custom design your logo for you.
4) What is the minimum number of pieces I need to order?
You must order at least one dozen pieces for embroidery or screen printing. Of course, the more you order, the more you save! Additionally, you can only order in increments of one dozen. Our machines are setup this way to save you money in the long run.
5) I want to order promotional products like frisbees, mugs, or pencils. How do I do this?
Currently, although our website predominantly handles attire, we have an extensive catalogue listing of promotional products available. You can request a "promotional products" catalogue from us under the [Contact Us] link at the top of this page.
6) What fees are involved?
Fees include the actual cost of the garment or product printed or embroidered, setup, art time, and shipping and handling.
7) How many colors can I have on a shirt?
When screen printing, you can go with up to 10 colors. It costs $30 per screen setup (one screen is used for each color) so therefore the screen setup charge is based on the number of colors you go with. When going with embroidery, there's no color limit.
8) What's more expensive, embroidery or screen printing?
It depends. Typically, embroidery is more expensive because the stitching simply costs more. Embroidery tends to look more professional and goes very well with golf shirts which are more expensive than T-shirts.
9) How much money do I have to leave for my deposit?
Deposits typically run 50% of the total cost of the order.
10) Where do you ship from?
Our main office is located in Port Jefferson, New York located on the north shore of Long Island. We ship nationwide from this location and occasionally from our factory located in Bohemia, NY.
11) I want a catalogue. How do I get one?
Feel free to call us for a catalogue. You may also go to the "Contact Link" on our website. Remember, though, that our catalogue is available on this site. Follow the links to your right. Pricing, of course, is not available as it will depend on a few variables. Simply get your style numbers down, and give us a call, so we can give you a quote.
12) Can I mix and match colors and sizes?
Sure! As long as your order meets the minimum of 12 pieces..
13) I hate computers. How do I speak with a live person?
CALL US! We're open Tuesday-Sunday from 10AM until 5PM EST. We'll be happy to help you with our website, ordering, or answering any and all questions you may have.
14) Do you charge tax?
Effective June 1, 2003, we will now have to charge 8.75% sales tax on all orders. Formally, orders were exempt under the "no tax on clothing items under $110" law.
15) How long have you been in business?
Just over 25 years, and still going strong!
16) I heard that you have a showroom. Is this true?
Our showroom is located in Port Jefferson Village at 3 Mill Creek Road, corner of Mill and Main. We are opened Tuesday - Sunday from 10 AM till 5 PM, you can stop by or make an appoitnment.
17) What is your turnaround time?
Typically, most orders are completed within 8-10 working days. Order times do vary slighty, and may be completed sooner or later based on availabilty and complexity of the order. In a hurry? We have a rush service available, the cost of which depends on the size of your order. Call for details.
18) I've submitted my artwork, deposit, and everything seems complete, now what?
In order for us to begin production of your order, you must sign off on everything to ensure spelling, artwork, colors, printing, styles, etc. are accurate. We'll need your signature whether received by mail, fax, or in person.
19) What are the names of your head employees?
The owner of East End Co. is Douglas Norton, sales and accounts payable is directed by Linda Kiechle, and the general manager is Mary Joy Pipe.
20) Why doesn't your clothing catalogue have prices in it?
Every customer and order is unique. The price of a garment is based on the quantity of an item ordered and the number of stitches (for embroidery), or colors (for screen printing). Call for pricing and we can better assist you and provide you with a quote over the phone.
21) How long does it take you to return inquiries when I send a message through the "Contact Us" link?
Typically, most inquiries are responded to within 24-48 hours. Feel free to indicate the urgency of your order in the "comments" section.
22) I'd like to cancel my order. Will I be charged?
Cancellation may be subject to a charge depending on what stage the order is in.
23) Who keeps the screen, artwork, and disk when my order is complete? East End Co. will provide you with your artwork or disk upon inquiry, but all screens become the property of East End Co. upon completion of the order.
24) Which is your mailing address and which is the one where your store is physically located?
To mail us you'd send to: 3 Mill Creek Road, Port Jefferson, NY 11777 and we are also located at this address.. We look forward to hearing from you!
25) What types of payment do you accept?
We accept checks, money orders, cash payments in our store, and all major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.
